Whats the best Hair color for me?

So my mom said i can dye my hair but only the kind that washes out in about a week give or take. BUT she also said i am not allowed to bleach it . Therefor the color will not show up good depending on what color... i was thinking green but i don't know what colors would show up in my dark brown hair..can you tell me some hair colors that would work ?
