Need Gay military Advice?

Im going to be joining the military soon and I was hoping I could get some advice from people who have been through it or still going through. Mainly I have questions about being gay/lesbian. I know that DADT is still in effect therefor according to the military i'm straight as an arrow. I want to know the do's and do not's and tips. I have a other half and we are both pretty young. I already know I cant share a phone or bank account with anyone of the same sex. But I would like to know more. Like when I get stationed can I live off base with her. How under the radar do we have to be. And what is some advice to help her through all this. She very supportive and is helping me reach my goal of joining. I just need some advice.
