Help with rebooting windows vista?

well the screen is broken. i can connect it to a tv and use my laptop though. but it switches from laptop desktop to the tv screen when the windows logo shows when i turn the laptop on. so i want to know will it show when i press f10 in the beginning or not. in a simple way just in case you didnt understand. i want to know if i can see the screen on tv when i press f10 just when i turn the laptop on.
