In the Civil War, when did General Meade replace General Hooker?

Meade replaced Hooker when Lee was moving into Maryland, which was spreading out in Pennsylvania in June of 1863, and Hooker used the old Mcclellan excuse the he (Hooker) did not have enough men to go after Lee. This was just before the battle of Gettysburg.
