Does anyone know how tight the tension should be on a Meade 8" to use the go to capabilities?

Well, ..., the RA lock should be 'hand' tight and the DEC Lock should be finger tight. Neither of them should be "Torqued" down. Each should be snug enough to lock the individual component but easy enough to loosen with a slight twist.
